| Home | RICHARD PRYOREmail: rpryor@pryor.com.au Richard Pryor was admitted to practice as a lawyer in 1979. He established the first computer law specialty practice in South Australia during the early 1980s and in 1987 he completed a three year post graduate diploma in Systems Analysis. In 1988 Richard was elected a member of the Australian Computer Society and he is a past member of the ACS Branch Executive Committee. Richard acts for a wide range of corporations, individuals and government agencies with respect to IT related legal matters. His client base includes users and vendors and ranges from individuals through to multinational corporations. Richard is a foundation member of the Playford Centre mentor scheme, which provides guidance to local information technology companies. The majority of Richard's work relates to assisting clients to plan, negotiate and document transactions. On major projects, Richard takes an active role in the project management of the contract process from the issue of Request for Proposal documentation through to evaluation, negotiation and contract finalisation. He has extensive experience in Internet related legal matters. He also has a substantial practice involving the resolution of complex disputes. This practice includes negotiation, mediation and Federal Court litigation, predominantly relating to contract disputes and software copyright infringement. Richards professional memberships include the Computer Law Association (U.S.A.), the Society for Computers and the Law (U.K.), and the New South Wales Society for Computers.
